The End is Very Near

Well, as you can see the end is nearly there for Elizabeth. Hopefully I will have her completely finished by the weekend. It is not until you really get up close to her to see how absolutely beautiful she is.

I noticed on the Scarlett Letter website the other day, that you can by the model of this sampler for $2,000 framed. I can understand why as there is so much work in it. I told my DH. He didn't seem to be impressed by this news (he's not a sampler lover) and told me "Good, don't give it away to anyone, we'll sell it". I think he has 2 chances of that happening lol.

I am looking forward to starting something new, but I can't make up my mind as usual. I don't know whether to sit down and finish my Beatrix Potter. I am over half way with her. Or to start something that I'm itching to do and that is Betsy Davis. Ah decisions, decisions. I will have to see what mood I am in when I finish Elizabeth.

Love your blog background and banner!
You are so disciplined! Elizabeth is almost finished and she is amazing!!
The 2 chances your husband has of you selling her...would they be 1) slim and 2) none....lol...
I wouldn't sell her:)

Elizabeth is looking so divine!! Sure can tell that is lots of work, and no way, is $2000. is enough to compensate all of the hours of stitching on it, framed or not!

I vote for starting the one you are itching to do, BP can wait longer! You deserve it!

What an amazing piece. And almost done. And no, I would never sell such a piece where I had put so much work into.

Your comment about your DH cracked me up because my husband is the exact same way - doesn't like samplers and thinks they're "dark". I said he had serious reservations about marrying me because they didn't have the letter "J" in them and he didn't think I knew my alphabet! HA! Anyway, your Elizabeth is absolutely amazing! This is going to be spectacular when finished and framed!

This sampler is amazing. I can completely understand why it would cost so much to buy, but I don't even think that would be enough to cover all the time it takes.

I look forward to seeing your new start.

What an accomplishment! You should be so proud of that sampler. I wonder what you'll do next?

I vote for Betsy Davis (although who asked me?--LOL)

Funny, I noticed that on SL when I got the recent newsletter and thought of your project. It's worth more than $2000!

Nice new start. Can't wait to see her unfold. I wish I could send you some of our heat. It's supposed to be 107 by the weekend. I could use some of your cold weather to balance it out.
