I finished most of her on New Years Eve while waiting for the Sydney Fire Works and only had a little bit more to do on New Years Day.
I decided to make a New Years Resolution to try and finish Beatrix Potter before I start something else. She is coming along nicely and I only have a few more motifs to go. She has been in my workbasket for quite a while and it will be good to have her finished. So I will have 2 samplers to frame.
I hope that you all have a wonderful New Year this year.
They both are Beautiful !!!
ReplyDeleteBetsy looks fabulous - congratulations on that major achievement!
ReplyDeleteStunning --- and what a lot of work done in only a couple of days...
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the finish..
She's just gorgeous! Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteBeatrix P is also looking lovely. Looking forward to seeing her completed! I started my own Beatrix Potter on Saturday - I did three motifs in one day (she stitches much faster than my first Quaker, Mary Thompson!)
Wow...utterly gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!!! And Beatrix is gorgeous too! That should be a snap compared to Betsy. Except for the monotony I guess. :D
ReplyDeleteThe sampler finish is stunning!!! And you are SO far along on BP you HAVE to go ahead and finish it!! I love to follow your blog as you are a quick finisher!~~ Take care, Faye
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful way to start off the new year! Betsy is truly beautiful, and I enjoyed watching you stitch this very much. Have fun finishing Beatrix. She was a WIP for me for quite awhile, but when I finished it she became one of my favorites.
ReplyDeleteAmazing!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on finishing Betsy! She is Gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteBP is beautiful as well :) Happy Stitching!
Betsy M. is absolutely fabulous! And Bea is gorgeous as well! I love the red, it is stunning. I have Bea on my "to do list" and I think I will have to try a nice red! Congrats on a great beginning to 2010! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful! Makes me want to start something new!

Betsy is absolutely Stunning! Words cannot do it justice enough. What an accomplishment - Congratulations! I'd bet you miss stitching her don't you?
ReplyDeleteYou had asked me about reading Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell - I listened to it while I stitched. I have the actual book but I couldn't get into reading it (& lugging it around with me!) - I have mixed feelings about it. Didn't love it, didn't loathe it either...sorry, that doesn't help does it?
They are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteSimply OUTSTANDING!! You have done an incredible job on stitching Betsy. I look forward to stitching her someday too! Can wait to see them framed and hung together. You are almost there on BP--this week I am sure you will have it done :)
ReplyDeleteBetsy M is another stunning piece and will look beautiful next to Betsy D. Congrats on two wonderful finishes!
ReplyDeleteI love Beatrix and good for you for trying to finish her up - you are so close to the end.
Enjoy your week.
Breathtaking Sandra - absolutely breathtaking. Betsy looks so gorgeous that I am going to have to go over my goals list and try to get her in this year. What a great way to start off the new year - with that beautiful finish. Beatrix is looking wonderful too. You don't have much more to go so hopefully you'll be done soon!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning, your finished sampler. What an achievement. Congratualtions!
ReplyDeleteYou will finish Beatrix in no time, there's not much left.
WAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Congratulations! Good luck with the BPQ, too!
ReplyDeleteBetsy looks stunning, congratulations
ReplyDeleteJaw droppingly gorgeous! Truly beautiful. You'll have to show us a pic of them hanging together.
ReplyDeleteYour BP is looking great, too. I love the color!
They are both gorgeous!! Betsy is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on finishing Betsy. She is more solidly filled than some other samplers and must have required more time. Beautifully done.
ReplyDeleteBeatrix is very close to a finish. I'll bet you have her done in no time.
Wow! Betsy has so much dimension to her and is a beautiful finish! Congratulations!!
ReplyDeleteHi, I have not enough words to compliment your Betsy. She is truly a stunner. Congratulations on another fabulous finish. 2010 is the year I add a Betsy to my walls. You are such an inspiration!
