She is all Finished

She is finished. Yipee. I think she is so beautiful and I am looking forward to hanging her with Betsy Davis.

I finished most of her on New Years Eve while waiting for the Sydney Fire Works and only had a little bit more to do on New Years Day.

I decided to make a New Years Resolution to try and finish Beatrix Potter before I start something else. She is coming along nicely and I only have a few more motifs to go. She has been in my workbasket for quite a while and it will be good to have her finished. So I will have 2 samplers to frame.

Well it looks as if Grazing Sheep will be my project and I am looking forward to starting her. Hopefully Bea will be finished by the weekend all going well.
I hope that you all have a wonderful New Year this year.

  3. She's just gorgeous! Congratulations!

Beatrix P is also looking lovely. Looking forward to seeing her completed! I started my own Beatrix Potter on Saturday - I did three motifs in one day (she stitches much faster than my first Quaker, Mary Thompson!)

  6. What a wonderful way to start off the new year! Betsy is truly beautiful, and I enjoyed watching you stitch this very much. Have fun finishing Beatrix. She was a WIP for me for quite awhile, but when I finished it she became one of my favorites.

  10. Betsy is absolutely Stunning! Words cannot do it justice enough. What an accomplishment - Congratulations! I'd bet you miss stitching her don't you?

You had asked me about reading Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell - I listened to it while I stitched. I have the actual book but I couldn't get into reading it (& lugging it around with me!) - I have mixed feelings about it. Didn't love it, didn't loathe it either...sorry, that doesn't help does it?

  19. Congratulations on finishing Betsy. She is more solidly filled than some other samplers and must have required more time. Beautifully done.
